The three sorters sit together on top of a common 5 gallon bucket. Yellow on top, blue in the middle, black on the bottom.

Mixed brass is poured in.

The sorters are shaken to allow smaller calibers to quickly fall below, the brass is in the proper sorter, and then the sorters are unstacked. 45 in the yellow, 40 in the blue, and 9mm in the black.
This picture shows .22's, some .17's, as well as dirt, tumbling media, and other debris that falls into the bucket.
The sorters nest together nicely for storage.
